Before Enchanted SFX, there was Morbid and Horrid — the name I started with, the account that helped me grow. Truthfully, it wasn’t built on deep meaning. I brainstormed a bunch of names, picked what sounded cool, and ran with it. It became my space to explore SFX makeup and body paint, even though I had so much to learn back then.
I got my start like so many others did — scrolling TikTok in 2020, inspired by a trend, and thinking: I could do that too. I tried it, and I never looked back.
Some of my proudest moments came under that name — like when Jeffree Star Cosmetics shared my Stranger Things-inspired devil look, or when I was featured in a Spirit Halloween article. But after Halloween 2024, I felt disconnected. I wasn’t posting as much. I had less time, less motivation, and the name just didn’t feel like me anymore.
Enchanted SFX is something different. It’s intentional. It’s rooted in my favorite story — Beauty and the Beast — and the enchanted rose that makes that story what it is. I have that rose tattooed on me more than once. It’s delicate, dark, and a little bit magical… just like my work. And yes, I’m a little witchy too — so the name fits.
Since rebranding, my makeup has evolved. My techniques are sharper, my products better, and there’s more thought behind each look. I still want people to feel creeped out and amazed — but more than that, I want them to feel inspired. I want them to see the love and work that goes into every transformation.
Morbid and Horrid will always be part of my origin story — and I might even keep it as my TikTok handle. But Enchanted SFX is the beginning of something new. Something bigger.
A business.
TBD.
